Summary

The Arithmetic of Boethius, as in Migne, Patr. Lat., tom. lxiii, col. 1079, beg. 'In dandis accipiendisque muneribus'. On the inner covers are pasted two leaves from a 13th-cent. Latin bible (Zach. v. 8-Agg. ii. 8). A hand of the later 13th cent. has added a table of chapters to the first book (fol. 2).

Custodial history

This volume belonged, as MSS. Savile 14, 18-19, to the Franciscans of Doncaster: 'Iste liber pertinet fratribus minoribus Doncastrie' (inner front cover, late 14th cent.). In the late 16th cent. it was in the possession of Anthony Morton (ib., and fols. 18v, 29). A partially erased inscription on fol. 1 reads '... [Joannis Dee de dono] Christophori Saxton [Chronographi Angliae] A° 1597. Martij 13° ... Manecestriae: in Com. Lancastriae'. Somewhat later it was owned by Roger Burton (fol. 1).
