Original envelope containing above, labelled 'Copy of Letters from John Henry Newman to J.H. Pollen' [n.d.].

Manuscript transcriptions [some in pencil, most carbon copy only] of letters to John Hungerford Pollen from John Henry Newman [the first 80 letters on the list made by Maria Hungerford Pollen], 17 Nov 1854–20 Aug 1863. Plus manuscript transcription [in pencil, with carbon copy] of letter to John Henry Newman from Henry Bittleston, Jan 1862.

Second carbon copy of manuscript transcriptions of 'Letters from Cardinal Newman to John Hungerford Pollen 1854 to 188 [sic] 1 to 81'. Bound with tape and labelled 'List of 144 Letters (made by Anne Pollen) from Cardinal Newman to John Hungerford Pollen 1854 to 1888 (the property of Mrs A.H. Pollen...)'. Originally bound with tape through punched holes [removed for preservation purposes].
