Summary
Musical fragments, among which are:
(fol. ii). Parts of two leaves from an English form of the Mass, with music (16th cent.): at one point is 'Finis, tanner.'
(fol. 7). An unfinished anthem or cantata from a metrical version of Ps. lxi ('Regard, O Lord, for I complain')
(fol. 10). Anacreon's Ode 46 (Χαλεπὰν τὰ μἠ φιλῆσαι), set to music by, and in the hand of, 'Wm. Heighington', i. e, Musgrave Heighington (?) who in about 1745 published Six select odes of Anacreon in Greek, set to music
(fol. 13). A list of 'All the Works of Anthems by Dr [Maurice] Green.'
At fol. 4 is a note by dr. Philip Hayes; and fol. 14 is a leaf containing two short voluntaries (19th cent.) used in Jesus college chapel at Oxford, presented in 1893 by the rev. Andrew Clark.
