Gold cloud bands with red, blue, and purple floral designs around the main text on folios 1b-2a and folios 9b-10a , as well as around the text of some ‘unvān throughout.

Folio 1a: Richly illuminated miniature displaying a scene of feasting and partying. The miniature is surrounded by thick margins in gold, blue, red, whitwe, and black, which nevertheless seem to have been truncated somewhat by the trimming of the pages.

Folio 1b: Illuminated headpiece in gold, blue, red, white, green, and black. The ‘unvān within it indicates the beginning of the author's prologue: دیباچهٔ فضولی بغدادی.

Folio 1b: ‘Unvān within illuminated headpiece indicates the beginning of the author's prologue: دیباچهٔ فضولی بغدادی.

Folios 1b-2a: Border composed of golden floral and vegetal designs.

Folio 9b: Illuminated headpiece in gold, blue, red, white, green, and black. This headpeice protrudes approximately 1cm above the rest of the page, suggesting that the white margins were once thicker than they currently are.
