File 1, fols. 1-8: Correspondence with Rennie Smith, secretary of the Friends of Europe, who wanted Lugard to write an introduction to a pamphlet on Nazi activities in former German territories, 1936.
File 2, fols. 1-28: Material circulated by the Mandates Section secretariat on measures passed in South West Africa to counter the activities of Nazis in former German territories, 1933-1935.
File 3, fol. 1 and item 1: Report of the Board of Management of the Land and Agricultural Bank of South West Africa for 1933, with a summary of its contents produced for Barclay's Bank (Dominion, Colonial and Overseas) London, 1933-1935.
File 4, fols. 1-8: Newspaper cuttings on the history of South Africa's Mandate for South West Africa, 1921-1935.
File 5, fols. 1-6 and items 1-4: "Report of the Rehoboth Commission appointed to inquire into the conditions of the people known as the Rehoboth Bastards living in that part of the Mandated Territory of South West Africa known as the Gebeit", 1927. Lugard's notes on the report, a mimeographed version of it as submitted to the Permanent Mandates Commission in 1932, with a covering letter (copy) from General Hertzog, views of the Union Government on the report, a petition submitted to the Commission with Lugard's assessment and the draft of a statement to be delivered by him as British representative on the treatment of the Rehoboth petition in 1928.
File 6, items 1-5: Extracts from the Official Gazette of South West Africa recording Government Notices concerning 'native locations', education, passes, land regulation and naturalization of Europeans, 1921-1924.
