In 1811 read 'expenses of the Exchequer': for deciphered copy of 1815 see no. 2095: no. 1824b is 'a paper, in Hyde's handwriting, of the concessions proposed to be granted to the Roman Catholics in Ireland': in 1839 read 'from lord Culpeper', the original is in MS. Tanner 61 [N. C. 9885], fol. 287: 1867 is later than April, perhaps May. See MS. Clarendon 91. See MS. Clarendon 98.
Part of the chronological series of Clarendon State Papers, dealing chiefly with English history from 1608 to 1689, with a few earlier and later. The printed Calendar, see introduction, stops at the end of 1657, but is continued in manuscript as far as about 1663. The papers themselves are from almost all parts of the successive Clarendon donations.
