Provenance
On fols. 1 and 2 are successively engravings of Henry de Lorreine duc de Guise and Charles de Lorraine duc du Mayne. The masculine famulo tuo on fol. 22 is changed into famule tue. In the litany St Gregory of Spoleto is among the martyrs (relics at Cologne, Treves, and Verdun). The presence of St Agricola may point to influence from Clermont-Ferrand.
Unidentified arms in the borders: azure, a bend lozengy argent and gules, between two mullets of eight points pierced or. Two hounds as supporters or badges.. The same arms are found in a Froissart, Brussels, Bib. Roy., MS. IV. 251, one a a group of manuscripts bequeathed to the Minimes of Tonnerre by Charles-Henri de Clermont in 1640.

There are many fine half-page illuminations, borders and capitals, and a large number of grotesques usually engaged in games: Douce has supplied a list of musical instruments, games, and miniatures. The following arms frequently occur, often with two hounds as supporters or badges:-- azure a bend lozengy argent and gules between two mullets of eight points pierced or.
Two engraved portraits of Henry and Charles de Lorraine, dukes of Guise and Mayenne respectively (at fols. 1, 2), may be a clue to part of the history of the MS.
