Demonstrations of methods of astronomical calculation by George Councer, using the following calculations as examples:
(fols. 1-10) the time of the new moon in 1748;
(fols. 10-163) an eclipse of the sun in 1748;
(fols. 166-201) the transit of Venus over the sun in May 1761;
(fols. 202-284) the transit of Venus over the sun in 1769;
(fols. 302v-324) tables, for proportioning the difference of equation at sight, and for turning minutes and seconds into seconds, and seconds into minutes and seconds, at sight.
