Summary
A copy, with numerous corrections in another hand. Apparently intended only for private perusal, the tract ending thus: "notwithstanding any care that may be taken to the contrary, yet least these papers might in the mean time come to bee seen or perused by others then those for whom they are designed, we shall therfore delay our thoughts of the particular methods to bee taken and means to bee used in the execution for the present, and shall, God willing, make this, together with some of our most material thoughts of the better ordering and regulating the naval forces of this island, the 2nd part of this Discourse."
At fol. 48 allusion is made to the Scottish settlement at Darien as "that late national loss of the kingdom of Scotland contracted by their earnest endeavours to bee the beginers and harbingers to this noble undertaking."
