Alum-tawed skin over boards, ruled; contemporary; 4+1 bosses on the upper and lower boards, lost; two strap-and-pin fastenings, lost; remains of contents label on upper board.

Acquisition

Presented to the Bodleian Library by his sons and received in 1857.

Provenance

Attributed by Krämer, Handschriftenerbe (I.231) to St Peter's, Erfurt, with query, on uncertain grounds; there seems to be no evidence in favour of the attribution.

Not identifiable in the 1836 catalogue of the Bülow sale.
