Provenance

Perhaps at Pesaro in the early 16th cent. (fols. 173r-v, 175v-179v)

At the front of the MS. are a partial index made by G. B. Vermiglioli of Perugia (fol.VI–XXI) and a letter written by him to D. Pietro de' Principi Odescalchi (fol.XXIII– VII) about the MS., which he says was given to him at Pesaro in 1820 by Conte Giulio Perticari. Vermiglioli states (but wrongly, it seems) that the hand of the first part (fol.2–160) is that of the Perugian humanist Francesco Maturanzio (1443–1518). See also his Scrittori Perugini I, 1828, p.12; II, 1829, p.121.

W. Ashburner , sale at Lucerne, 26–27 August 1938, bought by Hoepli.
