Comprises:

Typescript draft of 'The True Paradise', [c.1914] and manuscript draft of 'Ode to the Glory of Greece', Nov 1914; with associated letters to John Mavrogordato from Helle Flecker, 10 Jan 1915-19 Apr 1915, and further letters, 6 Jan 1930-28 Feb 1931, n.d, some with original envelopes; letter to Mr [Heller] Nicholls from Francis Brett Young, 10 Jan 1915; and musical score for choral and organ arrangement by Heller Nicholls of J.E. Flecker's Masque of the Magi (1908). Formerly in maroon folder (removed for preservation purposes).

Bespoke folder containing signed manuscript drafts of poems, 'The Golden Journey to Samarkand', n.d., 'The Gates of Damascus', n.d., 'The Ballad of Iksander', Apr 1910, 'Bryan of Brittany', n.d., and 'Santorin', 26 June 1912, some with addresses indicating location of composition. Book plate indicates prior ownership by H. Bradley Martin.

Two photographs of Flecker, n.d (one wearing 'Praxiteles Club' blazer [c.1904-1905] and one seated on bench with dog [c.1911-1914]).; and fair copy autograph manuscript of an unpublished poem 'Cradle Song' signed by Alroy Pxrdon [sic, i.e. J.E. Flecker], with associated letter from J.C. Squire agreeing to authenticate the manuscript, 29 Apr 1936 and cut out of a description of the manuscript for sale, n.d. [1936]. Formerly in red folder (removed for preservation purposes).

Fair copy unsigned manuscripts of published and unpublished poems by Flecker, n.d. [1902-1915], with minor corrections; typescript copy of translated extract 'From the 'Lazumiyat' by Abu'l-Ala', with minor corrections [by Flecker], n.d.; signed fair copy manuscript draft of 'Introduction to 'A Translation of Virgil Aeneid VI lines 264-547'', [1913]; and autograph letters and postcards from Flecker to various recipients including Heller Nichols, 1911-1914, Miss Jones, [1909], the editor of The Poetry Review [1912] with accompanying clean copy typescript of 'The Artist's Mistress' enclosed, Edward Marsh, Nov 1912-Oct 1914, Douglas Goldring, 1913-[1914], 'Kenneth' [1914], [John] Mavrogordato, [1911] and [1912]. Formerly in red folder (removed for preservation purposes).

Typescript copies of 20 letters from J.E. Flecker to Edward Marsh, [1912]-1914, discussing 'Hassan' and other works, paginated and annotated by Roger Senhouse in preparation for a Collected Edition of Flecker's works for Secker and Warburg Publishers, with accompanying letter from Senhouse to Marsh, 8 Apr 1948, including photograph of Roger Senhouse, n.d.; and illustration for 'The Best Man', Oxford, Eights Week, 1906. Formerly in red folder (removed for preservation purposes).
