Summary

Fol. 7. Communications between the kingdom of Sicily and especially Palermo and the Popes of Rome, on ecclesiastical affairs, chiefly in the second half of the 16th cent., and with reference to an ecclesiastical census or tax imposed on the kingdom. The collection is chiefly in Italian or Latin and appears to have been formed and annotated by Franciscus Penia, probably at Palermo, in 1610-11

Fol. 84. Papers connected with a dispute between the archbp. of Besançon and the Parliament of Dole on a matter of jurisdiction, 1572- about 1600: partly in Spanish, but chiefly Latin and Italian

Fol. 188. 'De vita et obitu ... domini Henrici Scrimgeri ...', an elegiac poem, signed 'A. Meluinus', followed by an epitaph on Scrimger (d. 1572?) by his nephew Melvin
