Summary
In six divisions. The first two divisions, or series, have instructions subjoined, and the following titles are prefixed:
(fol. 1) "Signalls to be observed in anchoring at an anchor, and weighing anchor, and sayling in the daytime. 1695."
(fol. 14) "Signalls to be observ'd in the night. 1695."
At fol. 26 are "Instructions to be observ'd by younger captians (sic) to the elder;" and at fol. 71b, a drawing showing Upnor Castle and Cockhamwood Fort on the banks of the Medway.
The following notes are written on fol. 72: "My father died the 9th of May at half an hour after ten of the clock at night, An. Do. 1699. I was sworn sole Commissioner of the Bankrupts by my Lord Chancellor Sommers, Lord Evesham, on the 15th of May, An. Do. 1699." On the cover is stamped the name of "George Graydon. 1693."
