Summary
The following title is prefixed: "Essex. The certificate of John Reinsforth, Henry Parker and John Wentworth, knightes, John Cocke, William Bradbury, Francys Southwell, Thomas Golding, and Mathew Colethurst, esquiers, Reginald Hollingworth and Roger Challoner, gent., commissioners appointed for the survey as well of all and singular such colledges, chauntries, free-chappells, fraternities, guildes and stipendaries, lands, tenements and other thinges within the said county of Essex, which ought and be come to the king's majesties hands, by vertue of one act of parliament begunne and holden at Westminster the fourth day of November in the first yere of his highnes raigne. As also the yerely valewes, condicion, state and degree of the same and every of them according to the tenor, purport and effect of his grace's commission, and instructions unto us in that behalfe directed, bearing date the foureteenth day of February in the second yere of his most gratious raigne."
At p. 33 follows the return of all "the landes and tenements given for obites, anniversaries, lights, lampes and such other like things in the said county of Essex."
