Sir Thomas Phillipps (1792–1872), MS. 9479 (a trace of this number, '9[...]' survives on a characteristic Phillipps printed paper label on the spine), his sale, Sotheby's 17 May 1897 and three days following, lot 207 (inscribed 'Phillipps MSS | 207', fol. 1r), bought by Tregaskis for £1 1s.; bought from Tregaskis by A. G. Little in 1898, and given by him to the Bodleian in 1940.
