Summary

Diary from William Sterndale Bennett's visits to Kassel, Leipzig, Dresden and Berlin, with entries written almost every day. He attended many concerts with Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Louis Spohr and others. Pasted inside the volume are prints of Kassel (x 5), Leipzig (x 1) and 2 advertisements for concerts in Gewandhaus, Leipzig. Also present is 'W.S.B.'s Routes & Times on his visit to Germany 1841-42' written by J.R. Sterndale Bennett, n.d.
