Summary
Renner was a German geneticist, working first at Jena and moving in 1948 to Munich as director of the Botanic Institute. Darlington wrote his obituary for the Royal Society in 1961. Correspondence includes letter on Renner's election as Foreign Member of the Royal Society (1955), and translation into English by Darlington of a paper by Renner, for Heredity, 1958.
