Provenance

Kirkstall, Yorkshire, Cistercian abbey of Saint Mary the Virgin: Memorandum of A. D. 1511 signed (?) by "Antonius Adyl monachus de Kyrkstall" (fol. 102v). (MLGB3: evidence from locally specific contents, including obits, scribbles, etc.).

Thomas Falkingham of Northall, Leeds, 1595 -- and in his possession in 1620, when used by Roger Dodsworth. John Hundleby owned the last item, fols. 193–204. (MLGB3)

Dodsworth 140, fols. 98–108, was part of Laud Misc. 722. Nothing to show early ownership. Inference from the "fundacio" (fols. 129r ff.). Cf. M.V. Clarke and N. Denholm Young in Bull. J. Rylands Libr. 15 (Jan. 1931), who treat the internal evidence as conclusive. Notes in the same hand run through the volume (s. xvi, after 1539). (MLGB3)
