Summary
At end:-- 'Explicit tractatus qui dicitur Stimulus conscientie. Here endeth the treatys that ys called the Prykke of Consciense . [then, in red:--] Here endeth the sermon . that a clerk made that was clepyd alquim .
Several small pieces in verse follow, some of which are ascribed to John Lydgate:
(fol. 130) a commentary on the Lord's Prayer, beg. 'God of heuene that syttest in trone': with a prose exhortation to godliness, beg. 'Hyt was an holy man', fol. 138
(fol. 139) '... The abbaye of the Holi Gost & of good conscience ...'
(fol. 145) a paraphrase of the 51st Psalm: beg. 'Mercy, God, of my mysdede'
(fol. 148) 'Cantus amoris', beg. 'Jesu thi swetnes who myzte hit se.'.
The whole of the text is interleaved with blank paper. 153 leaves, not counting the interleaves.
