XXXI) fol. 1r Type initial C Subject Portrait of the author, holding a book. Type border, upper, left and lower margins Subject Grotesques, folliage and flowers. At the bottom of the page two hybrid figures support Medici arms.

Binding

15th century, end, Italian, Florence (as MS.): wood boards with narrow inside bevel; dark red leather with blind and gilt strapwork tooling; gilt gauffered edges; pink endbands; four lost clasps. A high-quality binding, in unrestored condition. 267–268 157–158 c. 35–37 (book closed).
