Custodial history

It is stated that the initials G. F. H. stamped on the back of the cover below the tide imply that this was Handel's own copy of this work. 'K.25' on the top of the left corner of the front cover is probably in Smith's hand and may be the reference number for the theatre library. This MS. belonged subsequently to Thomas Chilcot, organist of Bath in 1757, and later to 'John Phillpot the gift of Thomas Field Junior, Organist of Bath 1803'.
