Watermarks: (a) more than one variant of bull's head with six-pointed star (type Piccard vi.101–279; fol. 352 resembles WZIS DE1185-S326_257) and with six-petalled flower (type Piccard xii.231–363); (b) bell (e.g. fol. 152) ; (c) (e.g. fol. 43) lily with eight-pointed star (type Piccard i.343–351).

Decoration
7–8 line 'silhouette' initials in black and red, including foliate, human and animal motifs, fols. 1ra, 115va, 145ra, 216ra; two-line initials in black and red with modest arabesque decoration.
Binding
Contemporary binding of tawed skin, ruled, over boards; clasps and bosses lost. Paper label on the upper board with pressmark N xii. Tabs (one lost) at the beginning of each gospel.
Acquisition
Presented to the Bodleian Library by his sons and received in 1857.
