Folder 1: 'Ashmolean, 1955-61': Edgar Wind's correspondence, memoranda and other papers, 1955-1967, relating to the business of the Ashmolean Museum, including the memorandum on the Museum's additional (financial) needs in the quinquennium 1957/8-1961/2, 1955; request for the admission to Wind's lectures of students from a finishing school, 1955; papers concerning the role of teaching and research staff (notably the three Professors of Archaeology and Edgar Wind) in relation to the Museum, and the facilities available there for them, c. 1955-1957; papers concerning the Museum's slide collection and photographic service, 1956-1967; papers concerning the administration of the Ashmolean Library, 1955-1967, including a memorandum by the librarian, 1963.
