Part of his first donation to the Bodleian Library, sent 22 May 1635.

Provenance

Durham, Benedictine cathedral priory of St Cuthbert: On fol. 10r: "Liber sancti Cuthberti de dunelm. [added:] assig[...] collegio O[...] [and a rough] B" (corrected from C). (MLGB3: evidence from an ex-libris inscription or note of gift to an institution).

At Durham College, Oxford (Surtees Soc. cat., p. 85) 1446.

"George Hobson byblatysta huius collegii."

"Liber Iohannis Paine ex dono Johannis Rotherham, militis, de Summeress [Someries in Luton], Bedfordiensis, anno Domini 1614 Septemb. vii." (MLGB3)

7 on bottom edge. On f. 10, .B. The Rev. H. E. D. Blakiston has identified this with a copy mentioned as being in a Durham catalogue of 1416 (Surtees Soc., p. 85). On f. 10 'Collegio' is apparently followed by O ( = Oxoniensi). Manuscript 1997 acquired by the Bodleian Library
