Binding

Brown tanned calf over laminated pulpboard for Abp. Laud, 1637–1639.

Acquisition

Given to the Bodleian as part of his third donation, dispatched on 28 June 1639.

Provenance

Würzburg, Domstift St. Kilian: a 15th-century shelfmark of A) p. 1 & B) p. 11, presumably in the same hand. The existence of the shelfmark in both parts shows that they were already bound together by the 15th century. The entries in list 800, no. 6 and in list 1000, fol. 1r, no. 245 could refer to this MS.

William Laud, 1573–1645: his ex libris, 1637, p. iv.
