Initials to books blue and red flourished in red and blue, the first (fol. 7) with elaborate flourishes forming borders in the upper and left margins; smaller initials blue flourished in red or red in blue.

Acquisition

Chosen as one of the hundred manuscripts bequeathed to the Bodleian by Lyell in 1948.

Provenance

Lincoln, Lincolnshire, Franciscan convent: On verso of flyleaf '·70·' and '·M· ·16·'. At head of fol. 1r the same mark as in Cambr., St John's Coll. 17 and 47 etc., and 'In hoc uolumine continentur libri Augustini De trinitate. xv'. (MLGB3: inferred evidence).
