Provenance
Shelford, Nottinghamshire, Augustinian priory of St Mary the Virgin : 'Liber sancte Marie de shelford' in red at head of second col. of fol. 1r (s. xii or xiii) -- inscr. faded so that l and r are not quite certain and f might be s. ( MLGB3: evidence from an ex-libris inscription or note of gift to an institution).
On fol. 73 a metal stilus has drawn two shields, (1) a cross battonnée with eight arms, (2) a fesse undy with indistinct additions.
Windsor, collegiate chapel . Usual chain marks on medieval binding (s. xv), which generally resembles MS. Bodl. 192. The leaf in the binding was in use in binding in s. xv as scribbles show. ( MLGB3: inferred evidence)
Given to Bodley by the Dean and Canons of Windsor in 1612. ( MLGB3)
