The first part (A) was owned in 1669 by Francis Philips of Brasenose college. The whole was owned by dr. Bliss, see above. The manuscript had been lot 172 in the Bliss sale, Aug. 21, 1858 (sold for 7s).

Bought from the executors of dr. John Griffiths (d. 1885) in May, 1886, for £1 1s.
