Summary
A note-book containing some extracts, copies, etc., about church matters about 1570-80, among which are:
Fol. 12. 'A copie of a letter sent to my L. Tresaurer from the Deane of Yeorke' on Church policy: beg. 'My most humble duitie ... I am required to shewe my opinion': presumably the author was dr. Matthew Hutton, dean of York 1567-89
Fol. 21. 'Cuiusdam Oxoniensis judicium de T[homa] C[artwright]' in English, about 1573 (?): beg. 'Because you sent me Mr Cartwrightes booke'
Fol. 29. 'Articles propounded to [Edward Deering or] Dering, and his Answeres', 19 queries on Church questions, sent by T. Smith, with a letter, on June 7, 1573; and Deering's answers

Fols. 128-end are almost blank.
Several leaves have been cut out, leaving only the inner margins, but they belonged to the book when it was first ('a° 1562') used for common-places, see fol. 1.
