fol. 1r: Small head-pieces in red ink in the beginning of the work. Decorative letters, indicating beginning of a new book: fols 1r, 26r, 42r, 93v, 105r, 138r, 140r, 150r.

Binding

Holkham binding of blind-tooled dark blue leather, with Coke family ostrich crest in gilt in the centre of the upper cover; Date: early nineteenth century. Rebound by John Jones of Liverpool (worked for Holkham 1816–1823). The spine lettered in gilt: /ORACULA /SIBYLLINA/ GR.–//; in pasted black leather: MS. /HOLKHAM/ Gr. 100

Ownership Notes: fol. iii(v): note written by A. E. Seidel, see below. Seidel mentions that he had purchased the MS in 1689 from a certain Monastery in the diocese of Thessalonica. fol. iv(r) right bottom in black ink: signature of Thomas William Coke. fol. 179v: βίβλος τῆς ἱερᾶς μονῆς τῆς θεοτόκου τοῦ γδερνέτου (γελερνέτου Barbour).
