Summary
Comprises:
(fol. 1) 'Hic incipit Stimulus Consciencie', by Richard Rolle of Hampole: wanting a few leaves at the end: ends 'In wich they schul be bounden foot and hande.'
(fol. 69) At end, 'Here hendith the Sege of Jerusalem', attributed to Adam Davy: imperfect at beginning: beg. '3a sertys quath Vaspasyan an ful wel.'
(fol. 84) 'Here bygynnyth how Bernard spekyth to oure Lefdy to wetyn of Godys Passyoun and of here [suffering]': beg. 'Lewde men that ben nat wys.'.
Some Latin verses follow at fol. 91: and on fol. 92 a hymn to the Virgin, beg. 'Hayle Mayden of Maidyns thou th worde consaywyng.' [For 'thou th' I read 'thorgch'='through.' We seem to have 'thougch' for 'though' on f. 92v. E.W.B.N.].
A note of Aug. 18, 1499, is on fol 93.
