Zacharias of Besançon Concordia Evangelistarum
Preceded at fol. ii by the first words of the sections of the Gospels, of which Matth. has 355, Mark 235, Luke 338, John 232, each marked with the number of the ten Eusebian canons.
At fol. 183 follow:
Rubric: Interpretationes nominum in Evangelio
Two patristic passages on angels, fol. 184v.
A few contemporary grammatical notes are on fol. 185.
At fol. 185v is entered in three handwritings an account of the election of Gervasius as abbot of Pershore (Persora) 1204 CE, and his many purchases and improvements of the abbey lands. The first hand extends to 1215, and is only slightly later than that of the text of the book, the second and third successively to about 1234 when Gervase died. On fol. 186v is a half-erased note of an incident in the 13th year of a reign, perhaps of a fire at Pershore about 1400 CE.
