Summary
[MS. Mus. Sch. C. 120] 'My Lesbia, let vs Hue and loue', an 'Englishe Songe for [the Oxford Act on] Saturday. 10 papers. Not performd: "Goe perjur'd man" was sunge in the roome of [it], 10 July 1680', in parts, vocal and instrumental. Foll. 13-end are blank. 36 leaves. Written in 1680 at Oxford.
[MS. Mus. Sch. C. 121] 'Act Song for 93: Britannia . By Mr Alsop.' There had been no Act at Oxford from 1685 to this year. The words of the Latin alcaic poem (beg. 'Quod nos loquacem') are probably by Samuel Lennard of Ch. Ch., and the music alone by Alsop: but only the vocal parts are in this volume, foll. 9-end being blank. 33 leaves. Written in 1693.
