Custodial history
'Excunte Anno Dom. m.dc.i.xxx.viii Hoc MS. mini dedit Iohannes Battely, Archidiaconus Cantwarensis . Geo. Hickes.' Dr. Hickes died in 1715, and left his MSS. to Hilkiah Bedford, who died in 1724, and Hilkiah's son William died in 1747. The volume might therefore pass to Dr. Richard Rawlinson who bought many of Bedford's MSS., and he might include it in his numerous donations in about A.D. 1750. It was undoubtedly referenced in about that year.
