Summary
An account by Antonio Cuello of the rejoicings at Valladolid at the birth of Philip IV of Spain on April 8, 1605, and of the embassy of the earl of Nottingham, lord high admiral of England, to Spain on that occasion.
This was originally written in Spanish, and the translator into English states that he was an eye-witness of most of the events narrated. The translation must have been finished before Jan. 5, 1606/7, for on that day John Laurence of the Inner Temple engages Peeter Archer (?) to copy the volume for him within five days (fol. 1).
