P. 1. The Optics of Ptolemy in the Latin translation from the Arabic-the Greek text being lost-made by the Sicilian Admiral Eugenius, originally in 5 books, of which the first was not found. beg. 'Cum considerarem Optica Tholomaei ...' (p. 1).
P. 3. Text beg. 'Omnia quidem, quibus aliquis possit coaptare ea'. This MS. is no. 4 in L'Ottica di Claudio Tolomeo, edited by G. Govi (Turin, 1885): (p. 139) 'Jacobi Alkit de causis diversitatis aspectuum liber', beg. 'Oportet postquam optamus complere artes'.
P. 171. the Geometry of Pediasimus, beg. 'τγ σοϕωτάτγ χαρΊοφύλακος'. The binding was formerly part (Matt. xii. 48-50) of a 15th-cent. Latin bible.
