Summary
Made up of two MSS., comprises:
(fol. x ) A treatise on the Creation and Man: beg. 'Quoniam ut ait Tullius.', (first half of the 14th cent.)
(fol. 32) The Secretum Secretorum attributed to Aristotle, as translated by Johannes Hispaniensis (?: see fol. 33v): ends (imperfect, a few leaves being lost), 'Et in libro cuiusdam Medorum man (datum)': there is here no title or rubric
(fol. 60) A chronicle of England from Brute to A.D. 1327, in French prose: prologue in verse beg. 'Cy poet homme sauoir quant & de quele gent': text beg. 'En la noble cite de graunt Troye': ends 'deuaunt le feste de seint Laurence.' (15th cent.)
(fol. 163v) 'Mirabilia gesta magnifici regis Anglie domini Edwardi tertij ... per Robertum de Auesbury, Curie Cantuariensis registri custodem ...': the Chronicle of Robert of Avesbury, 1307 - 56, with short pieces added, as printed by Hearne in his edition of Robert of Avesbury in 1720 from this MS. A short English hymn to Christ beg. 'As thou for holy churche rizt') is on fol. 258.
