Summary
Portrait of Talbot's mother, Lady Elisabeth Feilding, seated in an armchair and wearing a bonnet. Although this portrait was taken out of doors, an attempt has been made to make it look as if the sitter is indoors with the use of a backdrop and the rug under the armchair.
On the verso, written in pencil, is "Lady E. Fielding" [a misspelling of the surname].
