Summary
Peierls contributed a paper on 'Technology transfer through research training', and was to chair a session on the role of the United Nations. He was taken ill with pneumonia and spent some time in hospital in Rome and on his return to Oxford.
Material comprises correspondence, programme, participants, outlines for discussion session and for Peierls's paper, later correspondence re illness and letters of thanks. Also includes brief correspondence declining invitation to Amaldi conference in Warsaw because of ill health.
