Hours of the Virgin, apparently according to the use of Tournay
Shelfmark
MS. Canon. Liturg. 124
Summary
Hours of the Virgin, apparently according to the use of Tournay: preceded by:
A French Calendar (fol. 1v)
'Hore sancte Crucis' (fol. 20)
'Hore Sancti Spiritus' (fol. 28), etc.
Followed by:
The Penitential Psalms with Litany (fol. 109)
'Quinque Gaudia' (fol. 138)
'Officium defunctorum' (fol. 145)
The occurrence of 'Saint Lehyre' (Eleutherius, Feb. 20) in red, and S. Piat (Oct. 1) in the Calendar in red, and in the Litany, shows that the use is of Tournay: St. Guislein also occurs on Oct. 9. St. Cierge (Feb. 28) and St. Ladre (Dec. 17) are strange names. [Ladre is Lazarus, traditionally 1st bp. of Marseille: see Littré under ladre. E.W.B.N.] Leaves are lost after fols. 47, 81, 102.
