This volume was originally part of a larger collection, including royal and other documents, sold by S. Baker and G. Leigh, 3 March 1770 (Ives sale), lot 430?; Leigh and Sotheby, 3 April 1786 (Ducarel sale), lot 1463; R. H. Evans, 25 June 1829 (Craven Ord sale), lot 528; Phillipps MS. 3832; Sotheby's, 10 June 1896, lot 445, and 24 April 1899, lot 317. The collection was dismantled, probably for the next sales, Sotheby's (J. E. Hodgkin sales), 22 April 1914, various lots, and 12 May 1914, lot 782 (this volume).
