Summary
Office copies, arranged chronologically, of chancery enrolments, inquisitions, hundred rolls, and a few other documents, most of which are specified in Hunter's Three Catalogues, artt. 1-40. The documents not calendared in Record Office publications include:
A writ respecting the chapel of Haliwell, co. Warwick, 14 Ed. ii (fol. 53)
An inquisition relating to a tenement late of Henry Tyeys, in Southampton, 18 Ed. ii (fol. 56)
Claims of liberties by the abbey of St. Augustine, Canterbury, and by Otho de Grandison, in the eyre of Kent, 7 Ed. iii (fol. 110)
A copy of part of the parliament roll of 9 Ed. iii (fol. 139)
The documents end with the words 'convenit cum recordo' followed by an official signature, as that of 'Willelmus Colet, deputatus Johannis Borough militis'. Other signatures are those of Simon Lesquyer (fol. 15), Thomas Fauconberge (fol. 89), William Ryley (fol. 171), and Philip Ryley (fol. 72). A number of the copies are in the hand of William Collett.
