The meetings were held daily at St Stephen's Club for the duration of the election campaign, and were usually chaired by Party Chairman Lord Carrington. They discussed the results of opinion polls commissioned from ORC; the impact of Opposition press conferences and publicity; and issues arising during the course of the campaign
