Acquisition

Given by Lady Hills in memory of Sir Andrew Hills, bt., 1956

Provenance

All the pieces were probably used as wrapperes (fol. 19 has 'Clement Bassock his first accompte' in the margin) and have suffered much from damp. They are believed to have come from the family muniments of the Hills of Ash, Kent.
