Custodial history

Manuscript acquired by the Bodleian Library (26)

Acquisition

'Ex dono Domini Patricij Junij Bibliothecæ regiæ in aedibus Jacobæis Westmonasterij Bibliothecarij doctissimi': but the difference of phrase and absence of date shows that the gift was not in 1639, see MS. Bodl. 899, MS. Autogr. e. 2: the Dutch covers can hardly be earlier than 1640, and Young died in 1652: so it was probably given about 1650. Young was spoken of as a possible Bodley's Librarian about that time.
