Bought, with 38634, fols. 1-3, T. R. G. Lawrence (Crewkerne) 23 Oct. 1969 (lots 378 and 383), 15 April 1970 (lots 196-7, 199-200), and 15 Oct. 1970 (lots 176 and 178). Lot 380 of 23 Oct. 1969 (letters now included in 38684-8) was later bought from R. C. Hatchwell.

Acquisition

The papers were bought and given by the Friends of the Bodliean, 1969-1970.
