Summary
Nicholson undertook this visit as Converner of the Terrestrial Conservation Section of the International Biological Programme. It followed up his 1966 visit to Alaska and included visits to Fairbanks, Prudhoe and Barrow (Naval Arctic Research Laboratory). The principal matter of interest was the likely impact of the oil industry on Alaska.
Brief correspondence regarding arrangements and background information and a typescript draft report on the visit. A few pages are missing.
