(1) village of Ilinga, where Mr. and Mrs. Harris slept. Home of mutilated lad Impongi. Houses barricaded against nightly prowl of leopards

(2) Catholic schools, built by wealthy Portuguese lady resident in Loanda

(3) large fish caught near Basankusu, upper Congo

(4) missionary's house at Yalemba. Material imported from Europe. Mr. Harris on verandah

(5) ivory at Basoko, main Congo

(6) evening scene in riverside village of Boondi, Aruwimi. Oldest residents saw Stanley pass down from Yambuya to Basoko
