Binding

Typical Holkham binding of polished brown leather; the spine lettered in gilt 'TRACTATUS | VARII | M. S.', and with the number '497' at the bottom.

Provenance

Written in Venice; still in Italy, in the 17th and 18th centuries. On fol. 76–81 is an account in Italian, 17th.-cent., of the conspiracy of Tiepolo and Querini.
